Culture Tour – Antalya – Ephesus – Pamukkale

After breakfast, we depart from Kemer and head toward St. Nicholas Church, following the dazzling coastline. Along the way, we’ll admire the fairytale-like bay of Kekova. Myra (Demre) has always been known as one of the most important cities of Lycia. The earliest coins are dated to the 3rd century BC.

	We will visit the church built in honor of St. Nicholas, who was born in Patara, served as a bishop, and passed away in Myra. Before heading to Rome, St. Paul visited the city in the 6th century AD and departed from the port of Andriake.
	During the Byzantine period, Myra became an important religious center. St. Nicholas, who served as bishop in Myra at the beginning of the 4th century, won the love of the people and endured great suffering for his faith.
	Since then, Myra has always been a pilgrimage destination. In this regard, Demre has continually attracted the attention of the Christian world. The tradition of holding St. Nicholas events on December 6th each year has become established.
	After a lunch break in Demre, we set off for Fethiye. During this unforgettable experience, you’ll witness traces of Lycian history as we pass by the mysterious ruins of the sunken city of Simena. As we pass through ancient sarcophagi and rock tombs, we’ll enjoy the unique feeling of being immersed in history. Additionally, if the weather permits, we may take a swimming break in the crystal-clear waters.
	We will spend the night in Fethiye. In our opinion, the hotel we’ll stay at here is the best accommodation in the region. With early reservations, we can enjoy sea-view rooms. For dinner, you’ll have free time, as Fethiye is famous for its restaurants. If desired, dinner can also be included this evening.
	If time allows, those who wish can explore Fethiye’s bazaar and harbor, and enjoy some shopping. The cafés and pubs along the coast are incredibly pleasant.

According to Herodotus, the father of history, the people of Kaunos were natives of Caria but considered themselves Cretan. The geographer Strabo also wrote that Kaunos had a shipyard and a harbor that could be closed off. The city was founded by Kaunos, the son of Miletos, who was exiled for having an inappropriate relationship with his twin sister. And now, we travel there…

	The day begins with a journey to Dalyan after breakfast! We will visit Dalyan, one of the most beautiful villages of Lycia. With its sulfur springs, mud baths, and unique marshy delta, Dalyan will enchant you.
	The rock tombs visible from Dalyan were built in the 4th century BC and continued to be used during the Roman period.
	A delightful boat tour to Iztuzu Beach will allow you to discover the nesting grounds of the Caretta Caretta turtles. As we pass by the magnificent rock tombs of the ancient city of Kaunos, you'll have excellent photo opportunities. You can also enjoy a swimming break at Iztuzu Beach and savor the beauty of nature.
	After lunch, we’ll head toward Kuşadası. This journey will be a pleasant one, surrounded by lemon, orange, and olive groves. While passing through the Sakar Pass, we’ll stop for a tea and coffee break with a scenic view of Akyaka. Then we’ll continue on our way to Kuşadası.
	Dinner and breakfast will be served as an open buffet, and overnight accommodation will be in Kuşadası.The hotel we will stay in offers unlimited service with an all-inclusive concept. After breakfast, accompanied by our guide, we head to Ephesus, located just 30 minutes from Kuşadası—one of Turkey’s most impressive historical treasures. This region will deeply move you, and you will feel the historical atmosphere intensely. Even as we write these lines, we feel excited.

	After Ephesus, we will continue to the Temple of Artemis and then to the İsa Bey Mosque, an elegant example from the early Ottoman period.
	In the afternoon, we will stroll through the magical atmosphere of Şirince, an old Greek village. We'll taste the famous wines of Şirince. At the end of the day, we return to our hotel in the Kuşadası area for dinner and overnight stay.

After leaving behind the enchanting views of the Aegean Sea, an unforgettable journey begins toward one of nature’s most magnificent creations—Pamukkale! On the way, we will stop at the ancient city of Aphrodisias. We can say this was the world's first "sculpture university."

	With a historical background dating back to 5000 BC, Aphrodisias was founded as a small village in the 6th century BC and eventually became one of the most important religious and cultural centers of the ancient world. Moreover, the most famous sculptors of antiquity were trained here, and many marble sculptures from that era were produced in this city.
	After lunch, in addition to this unique natural wonder, you’ll also discover the ruins of the ancient city of Hierapolis.
	At the end of the day, you will relax in a hotel in Pamukkale, famous for its thermal waters, where you can rejuvenate your body and soul. You’ll enjoy a healing evening in the therapeutic waters provided by the thermal hotel and experience an unforgettable overnight stay. 	After lunch, we will step into this natural wonder declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Pamukkale’s dazzling travertine terraces continue to amaze visitors from all around the world.

Today begins with the first light of morning—get ready to step into an unforgettable adventure! A hot air balloon ride over the white travertine terraces of Pamukkale, accompanied by the breathtaking views of the Menderes Valley, will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

	If weather conditions permit, this enchanting flight can be booked locally, depending on the season, for approximately €150. As you watch Pamukkale from the sky, you’ll discover the unique beauty offered by nature from a whole new perspective.
	After leaving Denizli, we continue our journey toward the Taurus Mountains. The stunning panoramic views that accompany you along the way will provide a visual feast with every passing kilometer. As we approach the peaks of the Taurus Mountains, reaching up to 1,500 meters in elevation, you'll feel the magic of the mountains and the embracing atmosphere of nature. If desired, we can make a stop at the ancient city of Termessos along the way.
	Once we arrive in Antalya, we will have free time to explore the city. In the evening, we return to our hotel for dinner.
