Örnek Resim Before leaving Adrasan, you may have the opportunity to swim in the sea. Those who wish can visit the restaurants set along the Adrasan River, and then continue towards Çıralı along the Lycian Way. The atmosphere here is truly worth experiencing.
Örnek Resim 2 The Adrasan – Çıralı Lycian Way is a difficult trail. When you reach the forest summit, you will be greeted with a view of a large valley. The photo next to this was taken with that valley view. It will be an ideal place to take a break and pictures.

Olympic Torch and Olympos

After the challenging trail the day before, we spend the day resting in Çıralı. During this time, you can take a short hike to Yanartaş (Chimaera) and watch the flames rising between the constantly burning rocks due to the natural gases escaping from the earth. Especially at sunset or in the evening hours, the observation will be more impressive. We also strongly recommend history lovers to visit the ancient city of Olympos. Have you heard that the name Olympics comes from Olympos? We learn the short story of this region from Homer:

Örnek Resim Bellerophontes, riding his winged horse Pegasus, goes to fight Chimera. When Chimera attacks, Pegasus takes flight, and as Bellerophontes lands, he drives his spear into the beast and buries it seven layers beneath the earth. However, Chimera continues to burn, spewing flames from the depths of the earth. According to Homer, these still-burning flames are the fires of Chimera erupting from seven layers below.
Örnek Resim 2 To celebrate Bellerophontes' victory, a race is held in Olympos. The athletes light their torches with the Sacred Fire of Chimera and run toward the city of Olympos. Thus, the first example of the Olympic Games in Anatolia takes place. The "Olympic Torch" lit today is a symbolic representation of Chimera’s eternal fire.
Örnek Resim 2 We also recommend walking along Çıralı’s beach and enjoying the sea.
Örnek Resim 2 We spend the night in Çıralı.

Walking Duration: 7 hours

Distance: 18 km / 11 miles

After breakfast, we leave Çıralı and continue on the Lycian Way via the highlands. Our destination is Beycik. Located on the seaside slope of Mount Tahtalı, Beycik Plateau stands out with its extraordinary greenery and natural beauty, offering perhaps the most spectacular view of the mountain.

Örnek Resim We spend the night in Beycik. While staying at our guesthouse adorned with local culture, traditional Turkish dishes will taste even better in the clean air of the plain.

Örnek Resim Phaselis is a historic city located in both the Lycian and Pamphylian regions. In the 5th century BC, it was under Persian rule, and in the 4th century BC, it was governed by the Carian Satrap Mausolos and Lycian King Pericles. In 333 BC, it welcomed Alexander the Great with a crown, a significant event in its history. Phaselis joined the Lycian League in 167 BC, minting league coins, and became part of the Roman Empire in 43 BC.
