Her nearly twenty-year friendship and collaboration with Lycian Way founder Kate Clow allows us to offer an unparalleled depth of experience on Turkey’s most famous trekking routes. Although born in Istanbul, she lived in the UK for many years after completing her university education. She enjoys writing pastoral poetry and collecting natural stones. For the past 12 years, she has been living in Southern Turkey, during which she has discovered the region’s mesmerizing nature, rich culture, and deep history. With 18 years of experience on the Lycian Way, she took the step of founding her own tourism company to offer guests unforgettable holiday experiences. While introducing her guests to this unique route, she aims to create a harmonious blend of the serenity of nature and the traces of history. Since the very first day she entered the tourism sector, she has centered her values around hospitality, sincerity, and harmony with nature. However, she believes that turning this vision into reality is only possible through strong teamwork. Every member of the team she works with shares the same care and passion to provide the best service to their guests on this journey. Her goal is not only to offer the holiday of her guests’ dreams, but also to reflect the warmth of Turkish hospitality, the natural beauty of the region and its cultural heritage in the best possible way. With a meticulous management approach, she and her team carefully plan every detail to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience for every guest. She doesn’t like talking about herself. Born in Western Turkey, Gürçavdı has dedicated his life to exploring, deeply understanding, and sharing the rich historical and cultural heritage of the region. He has specialized particularly in the Seven Churches of Revelation and provides comprehensive guidance in this area.
Education
With a solid cultural and academic background, Levent studied at St. Joseph Catholic High School and Dokuz Eylül University. Since 1990, he has been a licensed tour guide by the Turkish Ministry of Culture. In addition to his fluency in English and French, he has extensive knowledge in early Christian history, Biblical studies, and ancient Anatolian civilizations.

He possesses in-depth knowledge of topics such as the Gallipoli Battlefields, Middle Eastern cultures, Ephesus, and Roman history. In recent years, he has specialized particularly in the History of Early Christianity, offering comprehensive tours in this field.

I had found Ayse’s company’s website a year ago and she and I communicated regularly over a year to customize an itinerary that would allow us to see the best parts of the Lycian Way, while continuing to travel eastward towards Antalya. She was so accommodating, incredibly diligent and creative in ensuring we felt safe yet challenged on the trail. Ayşe Gul of Lycian Walk was essential in planning the details of our trip by organizing transportation where necessary, and booking all our accommodation. Ayse the Capable and Friendly Organiser Ayse the organiser was always on call and willing to change my walking plans, when after a very strenuous I wanted a rest day or stay over in a particularly interesting spot. The Lycian Way route is challenging and often poorly marked Ayse alway sent the rout via Wickiloc and responded to any queries. Her choice of accommodation is good using local premises and products. If you are very fortunate, you may have the opportunity to stay at Ayse’s home and experience the warm atmosphere and lovely food. The Lycian Way I found this is a very challenging but amazing hike, the organisation and support from Ayşe was excellent. She planned our itinerary to fit in with our timeframe and was always available to answer questions or assist us when there were any problems, eg our accommodation was changed one day because she had received negative feedback about our intended destination for the night, new accommodation and transportation were arranged for us. As the walk is in rural Türkiye she was able to communicate with our hosts and resolve any issues or concerns. Unbelievable Wrap Around Support From the time we arrived in Fethiye till we departed from Antalya, Ayse Gul & Lycian Walk had our best interests at heart. Picturesque villages and wonderful Turkish hospitality I searched online for a reputable tour operator for my planned hike of of Lycian Way, South West Turkey. There are a number operators based in Europe that cover this destination but I was specifically looking for one based in Turkey and came across Lycian Walk. This family run business provides a very friendly service with expert knowledge of Lycian Way. I was treated as a member of the family with the wonderful experience starting at the airport and continuing throughout.
