Global Tourism – Walking, Trekking & Nature-Based Tours
This document sets out the terms, conditions, responsibilities, and risk disclosures applicable to all walking, trekking, and nature-based tours offered by Global Tourism under the Lycian Walk brand.
Any reservation, deposit, or full payment made via the Lycian Walk website constitutes the participant’s acknowledgment that they have read, understood, and unconditionally accepted these Terms & Conditions.
1. Scope of Services
Services provided under Lycian Walk may include:
Planning and organization of walking and trekking routes
Accommodation arrangements as specified in the tour program
Luggage transfer services (where applicable)
Route and stage briefingsOther services explicitly stated in the tour program
The following are not included in the tour price unless expressly stated:
Flight tickets and other transportation
Personal expenses
Services not clearly listed in the program
Special or customized requests
2. Reservation and Payment Terms
A reservation is confirmed upon payment of a minimum 25% deposit of the total tour price.
For reservations made less than six (6) weeks prior to the tour start date, full payment is required.
Payments may be made via bank transfer or approved online payment systems.
Any transaction or processing fees charged by payment providers may be passed on to the participant.
3. Cancellation, Changes and Refund Policy
In the event of cancellation by the participant, all deposits are strictly non-refundable.
For cancellations made close to the tour start date, the cancellation policies of accommodation providers and service suppliers shall apply.
No refunds will be issued for unused accommodation nights, walking days, transfers, or other services.
Program changes may be made due to force majeure, including but not limited to adverse weather conditions, natural disasters, road closures, or official authority decisions.
4. Participant Declarations and Responsibilities
By participating in a Lycian Walk tour, the participant declares and accepts that they:
Are physically and mentally fit to participate in walking and trekking activities
Are aware of the difficulty level of the route and possess adequate experience
Are solely responsible for their own safety, health, and personal belongings
Have obtained all required personal equipment, including suitable footwear, clothing, rain gear, sun protection, and personal medication
Any existing medical conditions, including but not limited to heart disease, asthma, epilepsy, diabetes, or chronic illnesses, must be disclosed in writing prior to reservation. Failure to disclose such conditions releases Global Tourism from any related liability.
5. Assumption of Risk and Liability Waiver
Walking, trekking, and outdoor activities involve inherent risks. By participating, the participant knowingly and voluntarily assumes all such risks, including but not limited to:
Uneven, rocky, or slippery terrain
Steep ascents and descents
Sudden and unpredictable weather conditions
Encounters with insects or wild animals
Fatigue, musculoskeletal injuries, sunstroke, and dehydration
Risks related to sea, boat, or canoe activities (where applicable)
All risks and consequences arising from these activities are entirely the responsibility of the participant.
6. Guided and Self-Guided Tours
For guided tours, participants agree to follow all safety instructions and directions provided by the guide.
For self-guided tours, navigation, route-finding, and personal safety are entirely the participant’s responsibility.
7. Insurance and Medical Care
Participants are required to hold valid travel and health insurance covering walking and trekking activities.
Insurance details must be provided to Global Tourism prior to the tour.
In case of emergency, first aid will be provided and participants may be referred to the nearest medical facility.
All medical and related expenses are the sole responsibility of the participant.
8. Limitation of Liability
Global Tourism shall not be held liable for:
Personal errors, negligence, or misconduct of the participant
Inadequate or unsuitable equipment
Health conditions of the participant
Loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings
Events arising from natural conditions or force majeure
9. Program Modifications
Program modifications may be made due to weather conditions, safety concerns, or extraordinary circumstances. Where necessary, walking routes, stages, or accommodations may be replaced with equivalent alternatives.
10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms & Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, and the Courts and Enforcement Offices of Muğla shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
11. Acceptance
By completing a reservation and making payment via the Lycian Walk website, the participant confirms that they have read, understood, and accepted all terms, conditions, risks, and responsibilities set forth in this document.
