Istanbul has hosted many civilizations throughout history and is a unique mosaic of culture and history. The city dates back to the 7th century BC, specifically to 667 BC when it was founded by the Megarian King Byzas under the name Byzantion. Due to its strategic location, it quickly gained importance. During the Roman Empire, Emperor Constantine rebuilt the city in 330 AD, naming it Constantinople and declaring it the new capital of the Roman Empire.
Connecting the continents of Europe and Asia, Istanbul was the heart of the Byzantine Empire for centuries. After being conquered by Sultan Mehmed the Conqueror in 1453, it became part of the Ottoman Empire. Thus, it became a meeting point of East and West, past and future.
This cultural journey offers a perfect blend of history, architecture, nature, and local experiences. Throughout the tour, you will visit UNESCO World Heritage Sites in both Istanbul and Cappadocia, exploring remarkable landmarks from the Byzantine, Roman, and Ottoman eras. The tour is organized for groups of a minimum of 20 and a maximum of 40 participants.
The tour starts with your arrival in Istanbul and some free time to relax. You’ll explore major historical landmarks such as Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and the Basilica Cistern, followed by a Bosphorus cruise and visits to hidden gems like the Chora Museum and Spice Bazaar. After flying to Cappadocia, you’ll visit highlights like the Göreme Open Air Museum, Avanos, and Zelve Valley. Panoramic viewpoints, a monastery walk, and the charming village of Mustafapasa complete your Cappadocia experience. The tour ends with a transfer to the airport for your return flight.
Guests are met at either Istanbul Airport or Sabiha Gökçen Airport, according to preference. Depending on the arrival time, a transfer is arranged to the hotel.

For those who arrive early, there will be free time to explore the surroundings or enjoy the amenities of the 5-star hotel.
After breakfast, the tour program begins, either with a guide or independently, according to preference.

The first site visited is Hagia Sophia, which became a central place of Christian sacred teaching.

This structure was built in 537 by the Byzantine Emperor Justinian I and is one of the largest religious monuments in the world. It is of great importance to Christianity because the First Ecumenical Council was held here, and the Nicene Creed was adopted.

After our visit to Hagia Sophia, we head to the Basilica Cistern, located very close to this area. The illuminated spaces highlight the cistern's mystical atmosphere, almost like an art gallery. Also known as the "Basilica Cistern," this massive underground structure was built by Byzantine Emperor Justinian I in the 6th century to meet the city's water needs.

It covers an area of approximately 9,800 square meters and is supported by 336 columns rising vertically from the ground. One of the most impressive features of the Basilica Cistern is the massive Medusa heads located deep within the cistern.

After the lunch break, the visit continues to Topkapi Palace and Hagia Eirene. Built in 324, Hagia Eirene was dedicated by Constantine and is regarded as the first church in Istanbul, making a significant contribution to the religious heritage of the Byzantine Empire.

Additionally, the Second Ecumenical Council held here in 381 marked a significant turning point in Christian history. Dinner is served at the hotel.
After breakfast, visits are made to the Chora Museum and Tekfur Palace. Both sites are essential stops for those seeking a deeper understanding of Istanbul’s Byzantine heritage.

Tekfur Palace is one of the rare examples of civil architecture from the Byzantine period that has survived to the present day. Another name for the palace is the Porphyrogenitus Palace. This structure was built during the final years of the Byzantine Empire and was primarily used as a residence for emperors. The palace, likely built during the reign of Michael VIII Palaiologos in the 13th century, is part of the Blachernae Palace complex.

The word "Tekfur" is derived from the title used for Christian lords or princes during the Ottoman period, and the building began to be referred to by this name. The Tekfur Museum is worth seeing.

The Chora Museum is an important religious structure from the Byzantine period. Originally named the Church of Chora, the building was constructed in the 11th century and adorned with mosaics and frescoes in the 14th century. These decorations are among the finest examples of Byzantine art. After the conquest of Istanbul, it was converted into a mosque, and in 1945, it became a museum. In 2020, it was converted back into a mosque. The Chora is a highly significant structure, famous for its mosaics, both artistically and historically.

After departing from here, we head to the historic Egyptian Bazaar, built during the Ottoman Empire. This market was established to sell local and exotic products such as spices, dried fruits, Turkish delight, teas, and various traditional Turkish sweets. The bazaar, where you can feel the authentic atmosphere of the 1400s, also houses shops selling traditional jewelry, carpets, and textiles.

After lunch, a yacht cruise takes place along the Bosphorus. Stretching between Asia and Europe, this unique waterway offers scenic views where natural beauty meets historic landmarks along the shoreline.

On our yacht tour, the first view you will encounter is the silhouette of Istanbul laid across the mesmerizing waters of the Bosphorus. As you gaze at both the Asian and European continents simultaneously, historical palaces, mansions, and waterfront villas will come into view. The coastline of the Bosphorus resembles an open-air museum, with magnificent structures such as the Dolmabahçe Palace, Çırağan Palace, and Küçüksu Pavilion.
A transfer is arranged from Istanbul Airport to Sabiha Gökçen Airport. Following the transfer, departure for Cappadocia takes place. Upon arrival, the first day in Cappadocia is reserved for free time at leisure.
Cappadocia is a region formed millions of years ago when the soft layers created by the lava and ash erupted from Mount Erciyes, Hasandağı, and Göllüdağ were eroded by rain and wind over millions of years. The name Cappadocia is first seen in Persian sources from the 6th century BC. The source of the name, "Katpatuka," is unclear. Some experts have suggested that it means "Low Country" in the Luwian language. However, later research shows that the adverb "katta," meaning "down, below," is Hittite in origin, while the Luwian equivalent is "zanta."

Travel continues via Kayseri Airport or Nevşehir Kapadokya Airport, followed by a transfer to Cappadocia. For those who wish, an optional hot air balloon tour is available the following morning to experience sunrise over the Cappadocian landscape.

After breakfast, a visit is made to the Göreme Open-Air Museum, where the remarkable Christian frescoes inside the rock-cut churches can be seen.

The journey continues to Avanos, renowned for its pottery and ceramic craftsmanship. Here, visits are made to local pottery workshops while enjoying panoramic views of the Kızılırmak River, considered sacred in ancient times.

After lunch at a local restaurant, the tour continues to Zelve Valley, a site known for its numerous rock-cut monasteries.

Our overnight stay and dinner will be in Cappadocia.

After breakfast, a short walk is taken through a scenic valley, followed by a local meal at a monastery dating back to the 11th century.

Visits are made to some of the most scenic panoramic viewpoints in Cappadocia, including Pigeon Valley, the Uçhisar Viewing Point, Avcılar Valley, and Göreme Valley.
For those who wish, an optional Jeep Safari tour is available.

After lunch, travel continues to Sinassos (Mustafapaşa), the birthplace of Saint Basil and Gregory of Nyssa. An Orthodox church is visited, followed by a walk through the town’s historic streets. Overnight accommodation is in Cappadocia, marking the conclusion of the tour.
On the final day, a transfer is arranged to either Kayseri Airport or Nevşehir Kapadokya Airport, followed by departure for the flight to Istanbul.
