Distance: 9 km / 5,5 miles
There are two separate routes on this path. One continues via the ancient city of Siydma, while the other progresses through Ge Village. Our preference is the route through Ge Village. Walking with a sea view will be delightful. For those who wish, you can alter this route and opt for Siydma, continuing your journey through the forest.

This incredible hike from Alınca through Boğaziçi to Yediburunlar is a journey where nature and history merge. Breathtaking views awaiting you at every step will make the challenging paths well worth it. You will lose yourself among the beauty of where the sea and forest meet, feeling as if you are journeying through another world. |

In ancient times, Yediburunlar (Sacred Cape) was known as Hiera Akra. It consists of the capes Yediburun Başı, Kötü, Sancak İnkaklık, Yassı, Kılıç, and Zeytin. These capes rise toward the land, turning into mountains, while the pristine coves between them are like pieces of paradise. Yediburunlar, an essential part of the ancient Lycian Way, was a passage used by the Lycians for centuries. |

This route will be quite enjoyable along the hillside parallel to the sea. You will have plenty of opportunities for photography. From Ge Village, as you reach the summit of Belceğiz, you will begin to descend in a zigzag pattern towards sea level. After the Lycian Way sign, the Mediterranean will unfold beneath your feet.

Let’s not forget that during the descent to Gavurağili, you need trekking poles. When you come across the sign in the image, your direction will be towards Gavurağili… |

Walking Duration: 4 hours
Distance: 8 km / 5 miles
One of the most enjoyable routes begins here.
The trail starts with an easy walk through the forest and gradually descends from around 400 meters to sea level, with gentle hills along the way.
The first site you encounter is the ancient city of Letoon.
This section takes about three hours of relaxed walking.

Alternatively, you can start your walk from Letoon. Founded in the 4th century BC, Letoon was the religious center of ancient Lycia. It is especially known for its temples dedicated to the gods Leto, Apollo, and Artemis. |

After leaving Letoon, you continue walking toward Xanthos. The distance takes about two hours on foot. Xanthos is another remarkable ancient city — the former capital of Lycia — with a rich history dating back to the 2nd millennium BC. |

The area, with its mosaic-covered floors, once served as the capital of ancient Lycia. It is now listed among UNESCO’s World Cultural Heritage sites. The image you see captures the memory and atmosphere of Xanthos. |
